What is CRO?

Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) is the process of enabling people to take an action when they visit a website. By designing and modifying certain elements of a webpage, a business can increase the chances that site visitors will “convert” into a lead or customer before they leave.

What defines a conversion? This may not necessarily be a purchase, a conversion can be almost anything, it just simply means that a user does an action that you intended them to do.

For example, if you want your website visitors to fill out your contact form, and you have 10,000 visitors, and 300 of them do so, that means you have a 3% conversion rate.

CRO Techniques

The below techniques help us to gather valuable data from your website visitors to help us make well thought out changes which will increase your conversion rate optimisation.

A/B Testing

What is A/B testing? you set up two different landing pages, each of which looks or works slightly differently, you then show each version to half your website audience.

You can then see which page performed the best over a period of time, the page that performed the best is then used as the main version for all website traffic.

Customer Journey Analysis

Using services like Hotjar we will analyse your visitor’s behaviour and the journey they take through your website, providing us with valuable data to make changes in order to increase the chances that the visitor converts.
